In the June 19th edition of the Daily Post, reporter Emily Mibach wrote about the planned MidPen project at 1300 Willow Road quoting Cecilia. The full text of the article is available here. The gist of the article was similar to the one in June 7. We stand by our original concerns, Willow Road is not a place for a library, parking is inadequate for retail, and a four story building is a significant concern for privacy in the neighborhood.

In the June 21 printed edition of the Menlo Park Almanac, reporter Kate Bradshaw showcased that even with a new senior apartment complex, more seniors are still in need. Belle Haven Action helped seniors who were excluded from the application process petition Mid-Pen Housing for support. More information in the article here. Our efforts continue on behalf of those most in need. Currently Menlo Park Below Market Rate policy does not include a provision for residents who are homeless to have priority in lotteries for available housing.
In the June 7th edition of the Daily Post, Cecilia was quoted "It is negligent to put a public library on Willow Road" Taylor wrote "Willow Road is a major artery to the Dumbarton Bridge and (Highway) 101. Over 77,000 cars pass daily." The reporter, Emily Mibach, quoted a letter sent to the city council. The full text is here.
